Color…in the Fall?

I like to think of myself as someone who does not follow the rules of fashion. You know, those unwritten rules –no white after Labor Day, no brown and black (there are exceptions), etc.—but I sometimes find myself falling into it. Take colored jeans for example. Yesterday, I sat on my bed for about 30 minutes debating on whether or not I should pack away my brightly colored jeans.

Do not get me wrong, I understand wearing bright colors during the fall-winter season is pretty unusual, but does it really matter? It is not like you will be arrested if you are wearing a choral pant in the middle of December. People always stress individuality, but where should the line be drawn; how can we differentiate between uniqueness and awkwardness?

I guess it will have to depend on the person, if he feel like wearing bright colors–white included–in the fall, then by all means, do it. Hell, I wore a white jean October. But, be prepared to get looks of confusion from the “fashion police.” And I say that with all of the sarcasm in the world.
