Recently, I have developed a fetish for vintage clothes. I know, I know. I should be ashamed of myself, but can you blame me? I never saw myself as a “vintage” type person. Hell, I don’t even know how to “thrift.” Wait, let me rephrase that; I know how to thrift, I just don’t have the patience to do it. I have a little bit of a control issue when it comes to shopping–I need to know exactly where things are. But, I digress. A few months ago, I came across this family owned brand called Beta Menswear and the brand has quickly become one of my favorites. Beta Menswear prides itself on bringing North European one-of-a-kind vintage clothing to modern-day wardrobes. Their philosophy is to provide high-quality, sustainable clothing—a philosophy that I can vouch for. I own this really cool multicolored print button-down from the brand and it definitely added some pizzazz to my wardrobe. Created with a modern-vintage edge, this button-down aces the must-have motif in a bold, artful color palette.
The Beta collection is pretty trend driven, but not overly so. The brand does an amazing job at merging trends with vintage to create clothing that is relevant and timeless. The inspiration behind their clothing is pretty obvious: Movies, street style, and various permutations of contemporary music. All of which are elements that reflect their philosophy of “merging past with present in search for great looking and effortless style.” As I mentioned earlier, Beta Menswear has become one of my favorite brands, so be on the look out as you all will definitely see a lot more vintage pieces being incorporated into my looks.
