Spring has finally arrived. The days of snow and 30 degree weather are officially over, well, at least I hope so.
Although I was counting down the days to warmth, I was really looking forward to the perfect boot weather. And spring is definitely the best time for boots. Why? Because the weather is cooperative, it’s not too cold nor is it too hot. So you don’t have to worry about freezing off your toes or having sweaty socks.
My favorite type of springtime boots, besides Chukka, is the Chelsea. I’ll admit that I wasn’t a huge fan of Chelsea boots at first, but eventually they grew on me and now they are pretty much a staple piece in my wardrobe.
Lately, I’ve been obsessed with the Doon Gore Chelsea boot by Florsheim. Crafted from buttery soft leather and molded into a sleek silhouette, the Doon Gore Chelsea boot is definitely a spring must-have. I don’t know about you, but when I look for boots the deal breaker for me is its transitional ability. You know, whether it’s easy to wear the boots from day-to-night or, in other words, from a casual stroll through Central Park to a dinner party on the Lower East Side.
As you probably guessed, the Doon Gore Chelsea boot passed the test. What I love about them the most is its handsome and modern minimalist aesthetic. When I first saw them it was an instant attraction. They come with the correct dose of sophistication, but also have a hint of attitude. If the Doon Gore Chelsea boot were a person, I would say they would be just like the actor Jason Statham (Fast & Furious 7, Transporter).
I have always been amazed at how Florsheim manages to reinvent its footwear year after year—for over 120 years, while staying true to their legacy of classic styling and quality workmanship. Their footwear always flaunts a timeless appeal and the Doon Gore Chelsea boot is no exception. It is an essential for the well-dressed gent and the epitome of unparalleled sleek style.
